  • Rest and Rejuv event held at Hope Lutheran
An event for mothers of children with special needs will be held Saturday (Nov. 7) at Hope Lutheran Church’s north Fargo campus.
The third annual Rest and Rejuv Event will feature concert pianist and speaker Mary Beth Carlson, who had a daughter with special needs.
The event, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., also includes a brunch, massages, crafts and coffee bar.
The Inclusion Ministry Network hosts the Rest and Rejuv Event. The address for Hope Lutheran is 2900 N. Broadway, Fargo. For more information call Judy Siegle, director of Women’s Ministry, at (701) 235-6629.

  • My son also went through CIT and we had pretty good results, although I definitely agree that you need to do multiple sessions. After the first one he seemed to regress a little but we are just trying to do "games" that we created that you can only use one arm/hand.

  • Caitlyn - We thought it went fairly well. I posted about it on our caringbridge site here: www.caringbridge.org/visit/pipermorgan
It's not meant to work miracles, but I think it did help. We may do one more round in May. I think more than one session is helpful, especially if, like us, you only get 4 weeks with the cast on. I've talked moms in other areas that go 6+ weeks.

  • I just stop by to say HI. I have a son with hemiplegic CP with left sided affectedness and hearing loss. He will be three in August. It is nice to see other moms on here that understand the struggles we can face some days.

affectionatelyyours: I saw a picture with the caption CIT. Are you currently going thru CIT? We tried that on my son last summer and got mixed results. How is/did yours go?
